Creaciones Gobesso set vivid green pieces of Murano glass into a deeply scored, gilded resin frame, giving this small object the presence of something excavated rather than manufactured. The glass catches the light at different angles; the dark grooves keep all that brightness in check.

The square mirror and straight handle make it pleasingly practical, though Gobesso clearly had decoration on the mind. There is a small hanging loop on the back, so it can also live on the wall, where it becomes a miniature piece of sculpture with the occasional useful reflection.

The original “Vidrio Murano / Creaciones Gobesso” label remains on the reverse.
