Brigantin Armchair by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset, 1981
Brigantin Armchair by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset, 1981
A sink-in, wraparound armchair from Michel Ducaroy’s Brigantin series for Ligne Roset. Designed in 1981, it shares the low, cocooning posture and generous quilting that made Ducaroy’s seating so addictive. The softly pleated cover reads like corded velvet/corduroy in a warm mushroom, terracotta-taupe—quiet, tactile, and inviting—pulled into deep channels that keep the plump fill evenly distributed. You don’t so much sit in it as you drift down and exhale.
Branded Ligne Roset to the underside and to label, this example has that easy, lived-in comfort the model is loved for—an effortless anchor for a reading corner or a relaxed living room mix.
