Prouvé-Style Jib Arm Wall Light, c.1950s
A deftly executed midcentury jib arm wall light in the manner of Jean Prouvé. Though not an original, this faithful piece captures the industrial elegance and utilitarian poetry of the French modernist’s lighting designs.
The slender blackened steel arm pivots effortlessly from a wall-mounted bracket, counterbalanced with taut cable tension and terminating in a brass bulb holder. The aesthetic is spare but sculptural — an exercise in economy and function made beautiful. Ideal as a reading light, over-table lamp, or architectural accent.
Likely produced in the 1950s, contemporaneous with the originals. Rewired and PAT tested, ready for use.
