Examples of this construction and silhouette strongly recall the celebrated Berga armchair designed by Axel Einar Hjorth for Nordiska Kompaniet in the late 1920s–30s. While these chairs remain unlabelled, the similarities in profile, joinery language and rustic modern character make a compelling case for attribution, or at the very least, a direct influence from Hjorth’s seminal Berga series.
