Six little windows for the dinner table. Each ring is assembled from panels of stained glass in blue, yellow, amber, pink and clear, held within a dark soldered framework. Some panes are smooth and bright; others are textured or iridescent, catching the light differently as the rings turn.
Their six-sided shape gives the set a pleasing order, but the glass combinations and slightly uneven joins make it clear that these were put together by hand. They have the character of miniature stained glass pieces without asking anyone to sit through a sermon. Particularly good against plain linen, where the colours can do their work.
The maker and date are unknown, but there's an Art Deco / Arts and Crafts feel to them. Sold as a set of six.
Condition Vintage condition, with minor wear, and irregularities to the soldered joins. Please study the photographs for detail. Handle and clean gently.
