A table lamp cut from Brèche d’Alep marble, a stone that looks as though it has lived several lives before arriving here. Its surface is a slow geological collage: terracotta reds, charcoal blacks, creams and olive tones suspended together in a warm matrix, each fragment the remnant of older stone folded back into the whole. Turn the lamp in the hand and the pattern shifts constantly — no side quite the same as the last.

The form itself is refreshingly restrained. A simple column rising from a stepped base, gently turned near the top before meeting a brass lamp holder. It has just enough shaping to give it presence without distracting from the material. The marble does all the talking.

There is something particularly satisfying about lamps made from expressive stone like this. They sit somewhere between object and landscape — a slice of the earth that happens, quite conveniently, to produce light. On a bedside table or console the piece reads almost sculpturally by day, then warms beautifully once lit.

An understated but characterful lamp whose real appeal lies in the richness of the marble itself.
