Vintage Dugdills Machinist Lamp on Oak Block
Vintage Dugdills Machinist Lamp on Oak Block
A beautifully engineered early/mid 20th-century Dugdills machinist lamp, reimagined as a sculptural floor light — its industrial poise anchored by a weighty block of solid old oak. The articulated steel arm, with its beautifully worn original paint and distinctive spring-ring joints, moves with that quiet, satisfying resistance only true workshop lighting ever achieves.
The glossy deep-green enamel shade brings a sharp hit of colour against the blue-grey armature and the warm, fissured grain of the oak base. Together they form a piece that feels part sculpture, part task light — a grounded, characterful object that easily sits in both minimalist spaces and more eclectic interiors.
Fully rewired, fully functional, and full of presence.
